Pressure describes the results of a [[Force|force]] acting upon a given [[Area|area]]. At its simplest we can describe pressure by the following equation: $P=\dfrac{F}{A}$ Where $F$ is the force acting upon the area and $A$ is the area that the force acts upon. The above describes a uniform force acting on a given area. Pressure is given in units of Pascal (Pa), defined as 1 Newton per metre squared.
